(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — A new Quinnipiac University poll found that only one third (33%) of adults approve of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s role as the Health and Human Service Department Secretary. The longer he’s in office, the more unpopular RFK Jr. becomes—his approval has dropped to a new low.
Additionally, the poll found that 67% of Americans support school-based vaccine requirements.
“It’s unsurprising that the majority of Americans, regardless of political party, do not agree with what RFK Jr. is doing,” said Shaughnessy Naughton, President of 314 Action. “Everything he’s done since taking office—gutting medical research funding, blaming mothers for causing autism, making it harder to get vaccines, and his mishandling of the measles outbreak has only made our country sicker. The longer he is in office, the worse his approval rating gets. It’s past time for RFK Jr. to resign or be removed from office.”
Key findings from Quinnipiac University:
- The latest Quinnipiac University poll finds only one third (33%) of surveyed US adults approve of the job US Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is doing.
- This compares to Quinnipiac University’s June 11 poll when 38 percent approved, 53 percent disapproved, and 9 percent did not offer an opinion.
- Thirty-nine percent of voters are either very confident (17 percent) or somewhat confident (22 percent) in medical information cited by Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while 57 percent are either not so confident (11 percent) or not confident at all (46 percent).
- Democrats (91%) and independent voters (70%) were overwhelmingly in favor of vaccine requirements for children attending public schools.
Republicans were split on the issue; 44% supported mandates and 46% opposed them.
The poll surveyed 1,276 registered voters nationwide from September 18 to 21 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.
