Before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2018 and to the U.S. House in 2016, Jacky worked as a computer programmer and software developer in Nevada. Like many Americans, Jacky was the first in her family to graduate from college and she worked multiple jobs, including as a waitress, to afford tuition.
In the Senate, Jacky has been a tireless advocate for STEM education, with particular focus on young children and girls. She currently serves on the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation where she plays a pivotal role addressing some of the most pressing issues our nation faces.
