Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is right: Republicans hold their slimmest and weakest House majority in decades. We only need to flip FOUR seats to retake the House. If we can get a headstart on the GOP, Jeffries knows we can do that. So can we count on you to give as little as $4 ahead of our first major deadline of the year so we can win the House, hold the Senate, and defend the Presidency?
Nuclear engineer and Ph.D Chris Jones would be the first Black governor of Arkansas if elected, a historic opportunity for a state that has been the site of some of the most important moments in America’s continued fight for civil rights.
Dr. Chris Jones grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and always has a deep love for science. A son of two preachers, Chris was also raised with a strong sense of faith. He attended Morehouse College on a full NASA Scholarship, for physics and math, then went on to study at MIT earning a masters degree in Nuclear Engineering, a masters degree in Technology & Policy, and a Ph.D. in Urban Planning.
After becoming ordained as a minister, Chris returned home to Arkansas with his wife, an emergency room physician, and their three daughters, and led the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub. Through this work, he spread STEAM education throughout the state and has seen firsthand how disparities within Arkansas have gotten worse, not better.
He will be facing Trump’s former White House spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R), who used her platform to attack science, facts, reason, and promote conspiracy theories in the race to elect Arkansas’ next Governor.
