Dr. Ami Bera worked in his community for twenty-one years as a doctor, serving as Sacramento County’s chief medical officer and then as a clinical professor of medicine at UC Davis, where he taught the next generation of doctors to care for their patients.

Ami was first elected to Congress in 2012 to represent California’s ninth district in one of the cycle’s hardest fought races, and his seat remains a target of national Republicans today. Ami serves on the House Science Committee.

As a first generation American, Ami attended California’s public schools from kindergarten through medical school. Ami worked part time and used scholarships to put himself through his education at the University of California, Irvine where he earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences and M.D. Join us and chip in $10 today to help re-elect Ami to Congress.
