Philadelphia — Today, 314 Action Fund endorsed STEM candidate Dr. Barbara Bollier for the U.S. Senate seat in Kansas.

If elected, Barbara would be the first female medical doctor elected to the U.S. Senate.

Barbara currently serves in the Kansas State Senate representing the 7th District. She previously served in the Kansas State House of Representatives, practiced anesthesiology, and taught at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience.

“I’m pleased to have the support and endorsement of the 314 Action Fund,” said Dr. Barbara Bollier. “We share a strong commitment to science, facts, and education. As a physician, it has been so frustrating to watch lawmakers ignore science and support bad policy that harms our communities. Both as a doctor and a public servant, I have always focused on listening to the facts, bringing people together and solving problems. And that is exactly what I will do in the U.S. Senate.”

“As a doctor, Barbara is a trained problem solver who will lead the charge in fixing our most critical challenges like making health care more affordable and improving our public schools,” said Josh Morrow, Executive Director of 314 Action Fund. “Barbara will be an independent voice in the U.S. Senate and stand up for facts and evidence. We are proud to support Barbara as she continues her bipartisan work for the people of Kansas.”
